FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the platform

Where does TradeSourcer find subcontractors?

We read public records — municipal building permits and state contractor-license registries — to surface the trades actually doing work in your job-site region. These lean, local operators rarely show up in paid directories like BuildingConnected or ConstructConnect.

How do you qualify a trade?

We rank by available public signals: permits, license records, websites, location, and trade relevance — not by who paid for a listing. Insurance should still be confirmed directly before hire.

Why are the trades anonymized at first?

During sourcing you see anonymized profiles (e.g. "Masonry Specialist #12") with the public-record signals we found. Full contact details are revealed once a trade responds positively to your outreach — so you only spend on leads that are real and available.

What does the outreach do?

You pick a cadence — a single polite email, a multi-touch email + SMS sequence, or an escalation that adds an AI follow-up call — and TradeSourcer runs anonymized outreach on your behalf. We never contact a trade without your approval.

How does pricing work?

For the demo, pricing is project-based. TradeSourcer sources the region, qualifies matching trades, and helps you pursue the available leads tied to that project.

Which regions are covered?

Coverage follows public permit and registry data. Pennsylvania is fully loaded today (~46,000 licensed contractors statewide), and we add regions as their records come online.
